Caroline Sullivan completed her bachelor's degree in physics at Washington University in St. Louis, with minors in theatre and creative writing. She then attended the University of Chicago for a Master of Arts in the humanities with a focus in comparative literature, which she finished in June 2021. She studies 20th and 20st century literatures in English, French, and German, with special interests in intersections of literature with science, literature with philosophy, and representations of ambiguity and precision in narrative fiction. She works as a Writing Intern for UChicago's Writing Program and as a theatre researcher for STAGE.
