Jessica Markman is an undergraduate student at the University of Chicago double majoring in neuroscience and creative writing. As part of STAGE, she is able to combine her two passions by using storytelling to convey scientific concepts in an emotionally engaging manner. Outside of STAGE, Jessica conducts neurobiology research at the University's Gomez Lab and writes creative scientific articles for various student-run magazines. In the future, she hopes to work on movies, stories, and other forms of interactive media that could be used by families and children to better understand exciting scientific concepts and psychological conditions.
