Nicholas LaRacuente is a mathematical quantum physicist and IBM Postdoc at the University of Chicago and Chicago Quantum Exchange. He is mentored by Bill Fefferman at UChicago and John Smolin at IBM. He earned a mathematics master’s degree in 2018 and physics PhD in 2020 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Nicholas discovered his interest in theater while majoring in physics as an undergraduate at Swarthmore College. He also has entrepreneurial experience as part of StartupChile 2011. Nicholas studies connections between fundamental physics, information, and computational complexity.
